Maybe you have an innovative new business concept. The fact is most businesses are started with an idea to improve on what the competitors are doing, or come up with a completely new solution to a common problem. The challenge is, because it’s a new and unique idea you have to explain it to people. That’s where an explainer video is so helpful. In about 90 seconds site visitors can understand what you do with a simple video that’s fun to watch. If it gets their interest they will take the next step, contacting you.
Launching A New Product or Service
Maybe your business is doing well. You’re probably adding new services or new products to keep your business fresh and growing. An explainer video is the perfect way to introduce this new offering. You’ve got an existing customer base and hopefully a good email list. Send them the link, post it on your site, create a landing page, run an ad campaign, whatever you want to do to get the word out, the explainer video is the ideal medium for this.
An Explainer Video is Content, and Content is King
It’s getting over used but it’s still true. Post interesting and useful content and draw people to your site. If the content is original and relevant it will boost your search rankings. These shouldn’t be overt promotional messages. It’s better if they offer useful information relevant to your business. Indirectly it’s promotion but you’ll increase your chances of having your video shared if it’s not obviously selling something. This also helps establish you as a thought leader in your industry.

You’ve got a great business and for 2015 you’ve decided you’d like to target a new market segment you are not currently servicing. Create an explainer video that speaks directly to that target audience. Let’s say you’re going to target the medical market. Tell a story about how your product will benefit the medical profession.
