Marketing Videos: They Work.
I recently spoke with a prospective customer interested in having an animated explainer video produced for his new company. As always I asked where he heard about us. He mentioned the Caplinked video. He had seen it on their site or on youtube, found out who produced it and contacted us. Of course we love to hear from folks that love our videos and want us to work the same magic for them. What he said to me during that conversation really struck me. He said “Had I not seen the video I never would have signed up with Caplinked”. While we won’t take full credit for Caplinked’s success we can take some credit for doing our part, creating an effective marketing video with a clear message that explains how the business or service works, what benefits they can offer a customer, and why they should buy or sign up or whatever that next step is, otherwise known as the call to action. If this person pointed out how our messaging did the job we intended it to do we can probably assume there are more people out there who were also moved to take action after watching an explainer video. So we’ll happily take the credit that’s due.

Marketing Videos Tell Your Story
Most businesses try to position themselves in a unique way. While very few can say they are the only ones who do something, setting your business apart from the competition is essential in today’s competitive market, especially for online businesses where geography is not a factor. The internet opens up the marketplace but it also puts businesses in competition with a much larger pool of companies offering similar services. In the past the first contact would be a phone call to a sales rep. Today a customer’s first contact with a business is a visit to their website. It might be the homepage or a landing page. Maybe your service is simple enough to explain in a few words. But how can you communicate to the site visitor what is different about your business, what is unique, what’s the special sauce? I’m sure you’re a step ahead of me on this question. Create an explainer video! It gives you a chance to deliver your sales pitch, your elevator pitch, and especially your unique product or service offering. You can use marketing videos to communicate anything about your company. Tell them what problem you can solve. Tell site visitors what you can do for them. Introduce a new product or service.
